We all have some type of a goal or desire. Actually what we want to achieve can be defined as a goal or a dream. What is the difference you may ask? Well the difference is what are we doing to make it a reality? You see a dream is simply that. A fantasy, that thing which we hope to come to pass but that is it. Our effort stops there. It gives us a reason to live and survive but our only action to make a dream come true is simply hope. The good part about a dream is that it will always give us a “reason” to live because hope alone will not make any one thing happen.
Now I’m not bashing hope. The reality is we all need it to live a happy life and that is another topic all together. What I am saying is that hope alone will never create a result! That is where the difference between a goal and a dream comes in. A goal, is something that we not only hope will come to pass, but we expect it to. We can expect it to, based off of the fact that we actively pursue it and therefore know that the intended result will be the goal that we have set for our self has been accomplished.
The only thing that stops our goals from happening is often times the fact that we don’t take enough steps or we can’t tie steps into a concentrated effort to see it through. There is no action plan! Here’s what is amazing. An action plan is not a big map or a large procedure that needs to take place. It is only our very next step. Simply stepping out and actively walking toward our goal is our biggest challenge. I’m amazed at how simple it is.
In our company Decide Freedom International that is the one thing that I wish I could stress to everyone. We usually know the path to our goals, it’s just simply we will not take the next step and then the next step and then again the next step. We let other things get into our way. So I leave you when this thought. What is your next step?
HOW long will it be before you take it?
